Anyway, here's a straight forward answer how to get this quest done. Someone suggested to target the fireworks at the shadows of the bats. It doesn't work 100% all the time. I discovered that if you are directly under or close proximity of the bat's location, you can pick up the quest item easier than waiting for the right spot on the shadow for the quest item to appear.

Scare the guano out of them
As much as I like to refer to WoWHead for quest support, sometimes the best advice gets voted down by other people's useless comments. Yes, I understand the rules of how voting works, but still.
